Amrit Bharat Scheme
The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, announced by the Railway Ministry, will modernise 1309 railway stations nationwide. This initiative seeks to improve passengers' experiences travelling by train. Indian Railways is moving quickly in this field. Through video conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the cornerstone, opened, and dedicated around 2000 railway infrastructure projects to the country. These projects will cost more than Rs 41,000 crore. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the Prime Minister renovated 554 railway stations. The reconstruction of these stations spread across 27 states and union territories, will cost more than Rs 19,000 crore. He claimed that India today has high goals and strives tirelessly to achieve them.
